UGH...rarely do I rate a book with 1 star, but this was pointless. It kept going back and forth about nothing. The only reason I even finished reading it is because it leaves you curious as to what the big deal was with her mom. Strange twist at the end which was probably the only reason I am...

Love Fannie Flagg. Writes about small town living with refreshing humor and a laid back lifestyle.

Another great book - I had some reservations at the beginning but the book
just opened up and I could hardly put it down.

The only reason I even finished reading it is because it leaves you curious as to what the big deal was with her mom. Strange twist at the end which was probably the only reason I am even giving it 1 star, but I didn't even think that was all that great. It was just a lot of blah, blah, blah. Sorry Fannie Flagg.

Not my favourite of her books, but a good read anyway.

I've read this three times now. Fannie Flagg is one of my very favorite authors of all time. I'm sorry she's no longer alive to write more. It's hard to explain what makes this so appealing, but I think it's the whole small town ethic brought to life vs the big city falsity and fraud.

Pure Fannie Flagg. Gets to you, but in a good way. Aww.
