Wonderful book as well as movie. A story of Southern life and family intertwined with personal courage. If you haven't read it you are in for a treat. You won't want it to end. A memorable trip into another time and for many another place.

At a nursing home, Mrs. Threadgoode talks to Mrs Evelyn Couch about her past. This confusing book changes years and times alot during the book. The whole concept in the book was good, but the book itself was not. The book also tells about all the characters. If you like to hear all of the point of views in the story, this is the book for you.

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe is about a old woman who grew up in Alabama sharing her stories about her life and friends at the Whistle Stop Cafe. You read about soem interesting characters like Idgie. The book is written where it jumps from the past to the present so it can get confusing at times, but the woman narrating the story Mrs. Threadgoode is telling about her times at the cafe and you can see how life around her is different now
