Simon Singh explains how astronomy began, and lead up to the theory of the Big Bang. While it focuses more on history than scientific explanations, there is a lot to be learned from this book.

The best and easy to understand science book I've read.
Tells the history of science (phisics, astronomy, and cosmology) from the ancient greeks to the profs of the Big Bang Theory on the 20th century.

Brilliant book! My hat off for this writer who managed to make it all so simple to understand. I fell in love with this book because of all the information that it holds and the simple way in which it is delivered, so that every mind can understand it.
