“Bravo! Brian Jaques has written yet another wonderful book. It combines ruthless battles with clever dialouge. The main charecter's name is Tammo. Tammo has to go and find the long patrol, a perilous group of hares, because he was sent by his mom to join them. Tammo is a small but mighty hare with a special dirk(dagger). He finds and joins the long patrol. The long patrol then travels to Redwall.
Meanwhile, the rapscallion army lead by Damug Warfang is heading towards Redwall. He wants to capture it. After all, it is the most prized place in all of the land. His army begins to set out for it.
The long patrol gets to redwall and tells the people that Damug's army is coming. The warriors get ready for a battle. The rapscallion army arrives and there is a huge war. In the end, Damug is killed by Tammo and peace comes back to Redwall.
I think that Brian Jacques does a good job of adding detail whenever possible. If you let a different author write this book, it would only be around 200 pages instead of the 318 pages Brian Jacques writes. I really like that about his writing. I also like how he has more action than a frog has babies. His books never get boring and always have a secret in them. That is why I like Brian Jacques's writing.
The war in this book is a lot like fights between me and my brother. Someone will have the upper hand when, BANG. The other person fights back. The way that the author adds detail is like an everlasting hallway. It just keeps coming and coming. The army of redwall is like my mom's friend's son. both are small, but powerful. Jake, my mom's friend's son, is onlt 4ft. 1, but he plays linebacker in football. Those are some connections of the story and my life.”
