“I had a hard time getting through this one. It seems like the investigation of the murders took a back seat to Anita Blake's sex life. I guess I've gotten tired of 1) everyone wanting to have sex with her 2) her constant recrimination and simultaneous defense of her lifestyle and her relationships and 3) her antagonistic relationships with women.

At one point it seemed like she went on and on about her superior oral sex techniques. I actually rolled my eyes and thought "Alright,...”
