I'm only on the first 200 pages, but so far, I don't like any of the characters, and the dialoge is repetitive. Bad book.
So this is the great Jodi Picoult... I don't think I'll be reading any more of her books...

I do not like this book.
It's boring and disappointing as i could guess how the story goes before it got there!

And as i was reading through the discussions here...many readers felt the same as me.

But, my support for the author did not die with this book, this just wasn't her best, that's all.

But still, my support for the author never dies...

It was a good book but I'll admit that at points, I got bored.
I kind of had to drag myself through the book because usually once I get started I can't stop. ^^

I just finished this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I become fascinated by the life of the Amish and I felt for these characters. It was a little predictable as I find most of Picoult's books, but it moved fast and ended well.

I read this book in one sitting. Even took it with me to do laundry. Loved it. She's beginning to be on of my favorite writers

I lied about reading this book; I tried, but gave up. It seemed to be really poorly written and slow and I just couldn't get into it.

So far this is one of her better books. Not a lot of language like some of her other books. I didn'nt want to put this book down it read well and kept me interested in what was going to happen until the end of the book.

Great book! I had already seen the movie a long time ago, and I had forgotten how it ended, so this book was still compelling right to the end for me. I enjoyed reading about the Amish culture too. This was my first Jodi Picoult book, and I plan on reading other books of hers in the future.
