When I finish writing my book, I will send Natalie Goldberg a fruit basket and some yellow cheese. I couldn't have gotten this far without her.

I am not a writer and I never plan to be. However what Goldberg has to say about writing can be applied to almost any thing that you want to do or be. If you want to be something you need to show up and do it regularly.

For me, this was an important reminder to weave more. If I want to get more weaving done, I have to do it every day, every opportunity.

Thank you Natalie Goldberg for the reminders.

The follow-up to WRITING DOWN THE BONES. This is an exercise book, filled with Goldberg's signature exercises. Again, simple, direct, and easily adaptable to whatever genre or style of writing you do. This too is a book that should be in the arsenal of every artist or every person who wants to live a creative life.

This was the first book I ever read about writing, when I was sixteen. Possibly changing the way I approached everything, but especially creativity and religion. Goldberg turned me 1/4 Buddhist with this book.

I love Natalie Goldberg's books. She has a knack of helping you use the spiritual keys within to unlock your abilities as a writer.

This book makes me want to be a better writer. Natalie has great examples and stories of her own. I feel like she's just sitting right next to me -talking over a cup of tea. I like this book better than Writing Down the Bones. But I love them both. If you ever wanted to start writing -she's the best for leading you toward your inner self to begin writing it all out on the paper.

I'm half way through this one, and it's great encouragement with some wonderful insight into writing. Reinforcing all the reasons I love to write, why I work at writing so, why it matters. I've finished--it's a book I'll return to over and over again. Wonderful. All writers have wild minds!

I believe the sequel to Writing Down the Bones. A LOT like Writing Down the Bones. I mostly purchased this one to digest all of her writing and absorb it as it was drilled over and over into me. Liked Bones better, though....
