Je n'ai jamais pu me tuer moi."

This is an incredible book and without any doubt Céline masterpiece. In this book Céline speaks about the meaning of life, morality, human being, war and some other things. He give us an exact definition of morality and human characteristics as he thinks of it and I think he is really near the known truth because I think somehow like him. He shows unstable state of morality and how the system will break with the very first rush of the feelings that are called passion of living or simply that one wants to live, he tries to substantiate that this moral thing and all human values that come from this feeling are just big lies. And in my opinion he has succeeded.
Also he criticizes fundamentals of war and nationality; he shows that these two are as far destructive as one can imagine and certainly hollow and dull.
The story has two major personages Ferdinand Bardamu and Leon Robinson as I have concerned, the others are just like factors and catalysts that help the process reaches the end. As I think Leon is Ferdinand himself, in fact they are two aspects of a unique personage which is Human being. One is passion and the other is responsibility and the points that joint these two are sensitivity and outside life as destiny. These two are running from each other but they are inseparable and this is the point that makes the existence. At the end Leon is the one who fulfill his destiny and in fact this is the passion that makes him go further but finishes sooner, in other word he acquire some kind knowledge that comes from internal responsibility of mankind and this knowledge is the end and after that these two aspects will come together in their roots that is the nihilistic fact that human is just the existence that has to go on and no more.
About the text and literary values I have to admit that it is fabulous and unique. So I give 5 stars to this book and know that these 5 stars cannot express my feelings.
