the book is one of the best graphic novels i have read. it explains alot fo detail of a boy named roland finds his destiny and how it starts in the stephen king novel the dark tower. the book has great art and an amazing plot to it

Having read six of King's seven books in the gunslinger series, I was already familiar with the story told in this graphic novel. While the art is on the mark for the tone and imagery in the writing, it doesn't really add to what's already present in King's novels. Any reader with a functioning imagination has already enjoyed a more complete, richer story. Adaptations must take on a life of their own; this one doesn't quite make it, unfortunately.     "Wizard and Glass" was one of my favourites in the series and I think the artwork here is excellent. I'm tempted to buy the comics as they come out again in February 2008 rather than wait for the graphic novel.
