I loved this book. Considering it was written in the early 60's ( I believe), Toffler really had an insight into what the world of computers/technology would do for the future and the future is here and we see these predictions unfolding before our eyes.

    I want to read again.

After the first and the second wave comes the third wave. This book must be read by both political and non political analysts. It provides a good point of view and understanding of where we are now. A must read for all who want to understand more about our society.

A book that really does an admirable job explaining the knowledge economy. Toffler is always an enjoyable read, even though I think his books should be shorter.

It still holds up. Written in 1980 and before, it reads like it was written yesterday, in 2007. We applied it in our book, Cyberradicalism: A New Left for a Global Age,' using it to update Marx for the information revolution and the 21st Century

The second book of Toffler's trilogy covers much of the same ground as Fritjof Capra's "The Turning Point" but in a more journalistic and accessible style. Its greatest contribution to modern thought is the powerful metaphor of its title. The Third Wave concept was a metaphor that gave me insight into what had been troubling me about the Jewish condition in general and Zionism in particular. The Jews are a Third Wave people functioning within Second Wave political, ideological and organizational structures. This was the coherent organizing principle of my analysis of the Jewish people in my book "The Optimistic Jew".
