What made me want to read it was when I heard Steve Jobs kicking up a fuss about the publication of the book, which of course promptly promoted more publicity. Even if you are not interested in reading about the history of the development of computers from the mid 70s onward, this is still a very readable look at a man who knows how to stage show and promote new ideas and products. He is evangelical but is no angel. This tome has been written from the viewpoint of many 'acquaintances'. It is not terribly flattering most of the time but it is an interesting take on a period of history that has so influenced how we live and work with computers today.”

I loved the book because it gave an insight of who Steve Job is and also his remarkable business acumen. Also, the tells you about the transition of Steve into Awe Inspiring Personality and Phenomena. The book is interesting and inspiring. The one thing I personally did not like about 'iCon' is that this book is the story of Steve by a person other than Steve himself, i.e. Its not an autobiography :-( . Due to this the book does not tell you what ran inside Steve's mind and his feeling during the various events of his life. But in totality its an honest and good effort by the author's to show us the side of Steve which hardly people know. I refer this book to be read by one and all who are interested into life of great personalities.”
