If you read the last chapter of Pride and Prejudice, it gives you an idea of what happens to each of the characters at the end. This book completely ignores that! And, all the time-lines are off kilter. If Elizabeth has been married nearly a year, then there hasn't been time for her sister Lydia to have had 4 children and Jane to be on her second child. Their marriages were a lot closer together than that! The sparkle and roundness of every character has been flattened and misshapen. Manners and mannerisms are lost.
This author's writing style was mediocre at best, regardless of what I though of her desecrating one of the best works of fiction of all time.
What is worst, is that at the end of the book, she takes one of the most important plot points of the original novel and decides to make it false! How dare she!! I was outraged and still am. I will be avoiding this author in the future.
