Anyone who knows me, knows well enough that this is proably my favourite book of all time. I have found it inspiring, entertaining and it revealed to me a whole new world. Che is one simple man who goes on to do extrordinary things. This book, his travel memoir, shows how traveling through latin america during his youth shaped his ideals and beliefs that would ultimately lead him to become one of the greatest revolutionary's of all time. Personally, I am a different person for having read this book, I can not reccomend it highly enough.

Ever imagined a person traveling through the length of a continent and seeing the plight of common man, turning to just help them out. Yea. That was Che Guevera. I, being an avid biker, always wanted to read this book thinking that it will give me more insight into the art of riding or it will give me more insight into country side of Latin America. But what it gave me was a deep knowledge about the pains he took to cover the distance, the courage he and Alberto, his friend, shows through the journey, the plight of the common man he met through out his journey, the cheerfulness of the people in welcoming him and Alberto as one among them, the jobs these guys did, the help they provided to the patients in San Pablo Leper colony and much more. The most interesting aspect of this book is that Che looked at things as just another commoner like you or me would have done. At the time of writing these notes he wasn't a revolutionary. The things he wrote about the Peruvian Couple and the labourers in the Mines of Chile depict how much he empathised with them. And then he went onto to help them. That's were the person in Che is much different from others who travel around the world for records, spreading messages and even self satisfaction.

Motorcycle Diaries is one great book that no one, who has a reading habit , should ever miss. Simply Brilliant

Expected so much - to understand how did the big america run it thru and thru with its southern cousin, how the dream of a united latin america was born, how incas and Indians are trying to find an identitity in a much invaded past...and the book has.....NOTHING. Either its lost in translation or well che should have just kept his personal diary just ... personal.

you see a different side of Che. Maybe this book also gives a view of how he became the Che we learn about.

I always thought when i read about Che - The Great Socialist Revolutionary leader in the history of South America .... It would be something more than what i found in Motorcycle Diaries. Frankly, Book is a disappointment and speaks nothing about the Leader he was....

Amazing - I haven't read anything so quickly and with such pleasure in a long time. Maybe it's because of who the author is, but still I thoroughly recommend it.
