Difficult to read, because for long sections it's just so boring... but overall the story was good. I think it would have been more interesting if I didn't already know how it ended.

This book really shows how embedded racism is in the European society. It's almost as if the core of European mindset is weaved around racial descrimination and that the period when sanity prevails is but an aberration

This book is an excellent example of historical fiction. the details are so fine that after reading it, you really get a very vivid picture of the characters.
