Being a fan of Charmaine Harris and Richelle Read I can definately see Laurell K Hamilton's influence on them. Anita Blake is a necromancer who raises zombies for a living and has a license to kill vampires. There is more violence than romance but Anita Blake keeps VERY interesting company. Think along the lines of the world of True Blood but if sweet little Sookie was a total bad ass!”
“I liked it...Not what I was expecting but I plan to finish the series...”

I read this book practically in one night & am grateful that I have almost all the books in the series in my possession.
Hamilton knows how to mix action, desire, drama and death into a nice little ball of Anita awesomeness!!!!! :o) I'm hooked! no doubt about it.
p.s. I'm already reading "Laughing corpse".”
