Ok, it seems like I'm repeating what everyone else has been saying when I say "I LOVED this trilogy!" I cried more at the end of this book than I did after watching Titanic, Ghost, or reading Kissed by an Angel. Lately all I've been reading is paranormal books set on Earth, and I had a craving for some honest fantasy, and this is what I pulled off the shelf...and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! I totally recommend this book, if you can stomach the depression of the end. And if you read about her reasons for why she did what she did (hehe, can't say!), you completely understand, though you want to punch her in the face for making you suffer so.

I loved the trilogy!!! It was well-written and fantastic!
And I'm glad it ended the way it did instead of on the traditional happy note even though I was depressed for quite a while.
Glad about the child though. That brought a huge smile to my face.
And can you help adoring Rothen???

Amazing trilogy. I agree that the ending was unexpected, and a good one, but I still cried! I'm happy that Dannyl and Tayend survived ok though!

I enjoyed the book quite alot! The characters, scene, environment, thoughts, etc. are good and aligns quite well with what we see these days.

The ending wasn't that bad. It'd be very difficult if it was the most expected happy ending. It's saddening, but...it's dramatically fantastic.

Awesome book, amazing story and great stuff. According to Trudi Canavan's site, she is planning to write the Prequel to the trilogy "The Magician's Apprentice" and the sequel to the Trilogy 'The Traitor Spy Trilogy' which is all about Sonea's son.

Wonderful. An author who has the guts to kill off a great character. I read the first book, skipped the middle one, and just enjoyed the unexpected twists and unusual romance of this final in the trilogy.
