I really enjoyed the author's conversational style with the main character. All along you feel as though Maeve is really talking to you & telling you her story. You can laugh & cry with her, become exasperated & annoyed with her, and ultimately come to love & cherish her.

I had a conversation with the author via email prior to purchasing this one, due to my confusion about the Dauther of the Shining Isles title. This is that book, re-published. Ms. Cunningham was very nice and...
