“This represents the complete 'Fables' series (up to 10 volumes till now), as I am not going to add all the individual titles. The quality is uneven but overall it grows on you. It gives the guilty pleasure of peeking into the 'real' lives of childhood acquaintances (fairytale characters). Its excellent 'summer reading'.”
“Fables exiled from the land of Fairie is a great set-up, and it's fun to see a really bastard Prince Charming, The Big Bad Wolf as a detective, and a sexy Snow White, but ultimately the mystery and the plot are a bit of a let-down. I've heard from other people that it gets better, though, so I'll probably check out the next volume or two.”
