This book captured my attention right away; refusing to let go and every passing chapter added attraction between the book and I. The way of looking at the world, the way of seeking ones self, and how the book explained the story; where just all to interesting to not continue without the book. I love the book because how it closely relates to my personal life. Such as when Siddartha was trying to destroy his “self”, I am in a constant battle with my inner-self. Trying to rid myself of the hatred, the frustration that boil inside of me because of the fact that my “self” in never satisfied; even when I make great strides to become successful. But unable to do so I settle for the things that I swore never to do or be. Like Siddartha despised the wealthy merchants, he soon became one, distracted by beauty and lust, he forgot of his priorities in life. This is why I love the book because the book speaks of good in everything bad, and a mistake in life will soon evolve to become your knowledge and wisdom.”

I read this book because we had to read it for class. I thought this book was pretty confusing, but also pretty interesting. At first i didnt think the book was gonna be good, but if you really got into it, it was pretty interesting. My favorite part was when siddhartha meets his son for the first time, but my least favorite part is when Kamala dies. I think anyone who is into action and adventurous books would like this because it is all adventure about someone who trys to find their way through life the way they want.

I read this in high school or middle school. I do remember the story line being pretty interesting.
