- Ellie Linton: She is a strong, capable woman who takes charge and keeps the gang together so they can complete their target. To survive till the end of the war.
- Homer Yannos: He is a strong, touch man who helps Ellie keep the gang togethor and strong.
- Fiona Maxwell: In a relationship with Homer, she is a bit of a girl. Throughout the series though, she has proven that she can be more than just that.
- Lee: In an on and off relationship with Ellie. He is a quiet but very thoughtful man.
- Kevin: A bit of a boy. But, like Fi, has proven he can be a man and strong throught out the war.
- Gavin: a deaf boy, approx 12 yrs old - a "feral"
