There's a pretty fine line these days on the argument of criticizing the government for going to war vs supporting the troops that are fighting the war. The author does an admirable job of navigating that line, sympathizing with many of the ground-level troops he was embedded with while detailing a disturbing amount of incompetency from those who command them, and suggesting that maybe it was the government itself that let those troops down. Informative, always entertaining and very well written. A definite read for anyone interested in a soldier's perspective of the war.”

He illustrates the values of the young men in our armed forces, and the great service they give to our nation.”

The story has a proclivity to reach out to the audience because I always felt dragged into the story constantly. It is full of adrenaline and action. The story takes place in Iraq and its about soldiers going through the dangerous war process. The main character is Evan Wright and he in Irag during the invasion of 2003. Generation Kill is a must read for everyone because it gives a story of Americans fighting in Irag.
Generation Kill is now turned into a show on HBO. I advise anyone that has HBO to watch Generation Kill. I never watched it myself, but it should be great because the book was excellent. ”
