I loved this one. Fast paced, but very informative. I like how Mark Bowden handles historical stories. They read like a good fiction.

Pablo Escobar was perhaps histories' most powerful and wealthy lord. Mark Bowden describes the man's rise from petty gangster to drug distributor to influence maker in Colombia's politics and eventually to hunted criminal, the latter the main section of the book. The author illustrates how Pablo used violence and money to intimidate and control anyone inside the country, even to the point of working with rebel groups and launching a coup on the government itself.
