Each one of the series is as good or better than the last. In this installment, a war veteran, also an artist has created his masterpiece, and it is eagerly awaited by some and feared by others. His talent incorporates known faces into the story of the painting. He is killed in a fall, believed to be an accident, but his sister is skeptical and hires Maisie to investigate, to her ultimate shame and heartbreak. Intwined in the plot is another bit of intrigue fueled by the man's brother. ...
