“Why it has to be filled with unhappy people?”

She has a great writing style and strikes a good balance in between lighter and heavier themes, always with plenty of dry humor. Like any good book, it completely transports you into that world. ”

I found ‘Life isn’t all haa haa hee hee’ to be a much more mature attempt than her previous book, 'Anita and Me', with identifiable characters and situations involving you into the plot , and then keeping you absorbed till the last page. I enjoyed reading it.

“What can I say - Meera Syal is excellent! This book had me in stitches & the book is so worn out now after being constantly borrowed by friends & colleagues! ”
