Meera Syal’s deliciously quirky sense of humor enlivens the done-to-death immigrants-struggling-and/or-facing-ostracism-in-a-foreign land plot that both her books are based on.
I found ‘Life isn’t all haa haa hee hee’ to be a much more mature attempt than her previous book, 'Anita and Me', with identifiable characters and situations involving you into the plot , and then keeping you absorbed till the last page. I enjoyed reading it.
