A thrilling tale that will leave you crying in the end with joy.”

Joey, a thoroughbred horse, recounts his life and experiences during WW I. He experiences several turn of events and has highs and lows. Makes you consider how senseless war can be. Two soldiers, one German and one British, come up with a great solution. ”

you cannot imagine the horror of war and especially this war. maybe this book will help.”
“this book is from a horses point of view and it was very happy where he lived and then he has to move with this boy and his dad the horse and the boy start to like each other a lot and then the dad puts the horse in the war u will have to read what the boy dose to get his horse bake I love this book.”

With his officer, he charges toward the enemy, witnessing the horror of the battles in France. But even in the desolation of the trenches, Joey's courage touches the soldiers around him and he is able to find warmth and hope. But his heart aches for Albert, the farmer's son he left behind. Will he ever see his true master again?”

The story begins with him being purchased and cared for by a family with young boy who really understands him. The war comes along and "Joey" is sold to the calvary to begin a new career. Albert, the young boy promises to find him, once he is old enough to join the calvary. Along the way, Joey has many adventures.”

By Michael Morpurgo.”
