John Wells is a CIA agent who has penetrated al Qaeda.

He is able to stop attacks against American soldiers in Afghanistan without detection but then bin Laden's deputy calls him in and tells him he'll be a part of a terrorist attack within the United States.

Upon his return to the U.S. some members of the CIA appreciate his years of dedication and what he's given up for his country. Others believe that he might have turned against the U.S.

In the meanwhile, the terrorist activity within the U.S. has intensified with bombs in Los Angeles and a shooting in Georgia. Wells and his CIA operative are attempting to discover what the target is and establish a plan to stop it from happening.

John Wells is a well developed character. He's a man with strong beliefs and is trying to prevent another tragedy from happening in the post 9-11 time. During his period as an undercover operative, he has missed major events in his family, for the love of his country.

Wells is an original character in a story packed with suspense and nonstop action.

Interesting and rare topic, a US spy infiltrated into the Al-Qaeda network.

This was a decent terrorist thriller and an easy read. I’ll probably read all of the John Wells series.
