  “Nice little page-turner. About 1/3 the intrigue of the "Game of Thrones" books but that's not really terrible and Mr. Anderson actually finished his series.”

  “"A Forest of Stars" is the second book in the "Saga of Seven Suns" series. I read the first book, "Hidden Empire", earlier this month. This follow-up is basically more of the same: completely over-the-top space opera, a little trashy but lots of fun. I recommend it to those readers who are willing to overlook some of the soapiness and just enjoy the ride. Green-skinned priests, telepathic trees, devices that can make gas giants turn into stars, homicidal robots, more alien races than you can shake a stick at. Trashy but fun. ”

  “This is a well-done sci-fi series. The characters and groups of people and planets are well-developed. The only drawback, to me, is that there are so many characters and story-lines going that sometimes it's hard to keep up with. An entertaining read, though.”
