I read small portions of this book in english class and I enjoyed it a lot. it was very informative and taught me a lot of what i needed to know about reek mythology. It was and still is a great source for looking up greek myths and to find out information about the greek gods and goddesses. This helped me out a lot when we were all looking up certain stories to reenact in english class. Although i did not read the full book i got a sense of what the book was like and how the author wrote. Overall, i thought it was somewhat boring, but on the other hand it was very informative and it is a very good source if you want to research greek gods.

Awesomeness. She blends and mixes all of the greatest myths into one ballad. Good job. My only complaint is that, while Greek mythology takes up six whole parts, only one measly sub-section is devoted for Norse myths. But all aside, the first six parts are the best. ;)

This is the classic English work on Greek mythology that I fisrt read as a high school sophomore. Ever since then I have enjoyed the Greek and Roman myths and I have shared them with my children.

I love Mythology but sometimes it makes a boring air. I romance, a tragic drama, the stories of the Eight brief Tales of Lovers.

This was a gift from my mother for my 8th birthday due to my Hercules fanfare at the time. This became a Bible for me later on being a preteen delving into the world of mythology (specifically Greek, Roman and Norse) and I had no problems with this book serving as a guide. I found this book a great introductory reference material for those who want to learn more about mythology. I found it very organized but not as comprehensive (knowing how extensive the world of mythology is). But this was a good start for me.

Who can ever forget the story of Cupid and Psyche?

Beautiful read even for a high school kid (was in sophomore year when I started reading this).
