I was reading this book for a mother daughter book club. These were a bunch of Short stories that all had an inner connection. All of these stories are on the people living in the same living complex. The stories cover a lot of different things and have little morals. Some of these morals i couldn't figure out. Also in my opinion i didn't real find any meaning in these stories. I personally wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. This is also I think more of a book that adults would like to read and also find some kind of meaning within these little stories.”

This is a collection of short stories which are interrelated due to the fact that it is based in a Parsi dominated apartment-block somewhere in Mumbai.I liked reading the stories as individual stories rather than as a volume. A few stories are absolute gems and I specifically liked the way the author has captured the nuances of Parsis. The ones that i appreciated most were Auspicious Occasion , Condolence Visit & The Paying Guests
”
“I liked all the stories. Author wrote the stories about his experiences growing up in Mumbai and living in Canada.”

I just never had the thought, 'boy, I can't wait to get back to this!' after I set it down. Truthfully, I stopped reading halfway through because, although the stories were intriguing, they didn't have much of a personal relationship to me.”
