“It is a great graphic novel. What it does is take the Marvel superheroes from the 60s(so basically there are no characters created after 1975) and ask what would have happened if they came into being in the 1600s. This was one of the three projects that Neil planned to do for Marvel Comics. The second being The Eternals(which also a great read). But if you really want to start with his best stuff start with his Sandman series from DC Comics(Vertigo). All 76 issues are collected in 10 hard cover or paper back trades. Or you can collect the Absolutes hard covers which print around 22 issues per volume. There will be a total of 4 volumes.”
“time magazines has ranked one of his book as the best ever fiction novel..r there anyone out there read his book yet?i plan to read his books, but i want to start with what is considered his best work...does anyone know?”
“there is no cursing really. I think the strongest word is "damn" and that is as far as it goes. As for questionable scene, No. Since these are characters are owned by Marvel Neil kept with in who the characters are. He just slightly gave them an old world view. When Neil was asked by Marvel what he wanted to work(I believe this was the first of three projects) on he said he didn't want to do anything with guns. This was after 9/11 so what he did was take Marvel characters that only where around in the sixties and told the story what if the existed in the 1600s. ”
“Does Neil Gaiman curse or put questionable scenes in his books??”
