St. Vincent is a devil, but you can't help falling for him. He's so sexy he just seems to seduce all the way from the pages of this novel. Sebastian is one of the sexiest heroes ever written. Gosh the man just makes me melt. Out of all the Wallflowers, Evie is my favorite, hands-down. I thought...

    To: Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent
From: The Office of Sheridan Sakura Carlotta

    Dearest Sebastian,

We regret to inform you that you will not be receiving an exclusive invitation to Sheridan Sakura Carlotta’s fortnightly Lisa Kleypas manwich party, of which Mr. John McKenna, Mr. Simon Hunt, and Mr. Marcus Westcliff are honored and frequent guests. Especially Mr. John McKenna. We would like you to know that we have (which means to say, Sheridan has) agonized over this decision for many a nights, and have taken into account your vast popularity with many other Romance readers and your cameo appearances in, amongst others, “It Happened One Autumn“, and “Mine til Midinght“. We hope you do not take offense to this. Let not your ego be bruised. We explain our decision below:

Purchased this book because it was on a list of "Top 10 Romance Novels Ever". It was decent but not all it was cracked up to be. I honestly can't even remember the characters and I just read it a week ago!! Needless to say I'm not going off of that persons Top 10 list ever again!

Thinking about this book, I just loved it, really really loved. 'Til the first time I had heard about it, I want to read it (don't know why, love at first sight, I guess ^o^)
This isn't perfect in my mind, I loved the beginning more than all, but I give it 5 stars of rating. I love Sebastian, who was rake with arrogant, heartless, always loved himself but warmed Evie by his heat of his own body. I love the scene of 'proposing', the mad-speed travel to Gretna Green, the ceremony and after... I found it unputdownable and completely attractive... (maybe this 's the first time I'd read about a full scene of eloping). Neither the travel back to London wasn't interested me as former, I enjoyed it well... Now this is the most adorable book of Lisa I've ever read (even love more than Dreaming of you, which I'm reading & enjoying, particularly Derek Craven).

Somehow I missed writing a review for this book and now I have to remember what I liked about it.

Evangeline Jenner needs help. Her father is dying and her relatives want her money. It appears to her that Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent is her only hope. He needs her money and for that he will protect her. In the true romantic tradition, this bargain seems bound to fail leaving both parties unhappy. But as we know, true love will always come before the last page.

I like Lisa Kleypas' books. I have not read any for awhile, but this one met all my remembrances. There is humor, conflict and love. What more could I ask for?

This was my favorite of the Wallflower series. Who couldn't fall in love with the bad boy with the heart of gold? The character of Sebastian is so well-written, and his flawed personality and deep devotion to Evie is what makes his character irresistible. Evie's quiet strength and ability to see beyond the facade made her an amazing heroine, and had me unable to put that book down. :)
