Yes | No“This is the first of Kerr's Bernard Gunther series.Gunther is a private eye in Germany who brazenly wisecracks his way through suspenseful adventures.It surprised me that I was laughing my head off while reading a story filled with the threatening menace that was Nazi Germany.I recommend this book to anyone who like brilliant, smart-mouthed PIs who find themselves in supposedly futile situations.”
