James Patterson is a very descriptive writer, who can make even the unreal seem believable. The descriptive writing and vivid imagery really contributes to his writing style. The book Violets are Blue, by James Patterson was a mind boggling mystery. As I was reading the beginning of the book, I had no idea what direction that the story was headed in.
