The Xanth novels are a quick, fun and funny read. Great starter books for young fantasy readers. There is a ton of them and you can pick up any of them and start. Very recommended

It took me a while to get into this book. The naivete of the main character Imbri was annoying at times. The first Xanth books were entertianing, but this one seems to show a decline in the series. Since there are over 30, it hopefully picks up again.

My first Piers Anthony novel and one of my favorites. He has the best sense of humor and spins tales in ways you never dreamed of.

I've read this one several times and to this day it remains my favorite Xanth book. The character of Mare Imbrium is captivating and watching her struggle with her recently acquired half soul is rather endearing. That and I've always found the night mares fascinating!
