Liked It“The Xanth novels are a quick, fun and funny read. Great starter books for young fantasy readers. There is a ton of them and you can pick up any of them and start. Very recommended” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It“It took me a while to get into this book. The naivete of the main character Imbri was annoying at times. The first Xanth books were entertianing, but this one seems to show a decline in the series. Since there are over 30, it hopefully picks up again.” see full review » see other reviews » |

The character of Mare Imbrium is captivating and watching her struggle with her recently acquired half soul is rather endearing. That and I've always found the night mares fascinating!”
