It was while gobbling down my 10th Xanth book as an early teen it began to dawn on me that boring re-hashes of the same old silly tropes actually CAN convince someone completely hypnotized by the superficial appearances and shallow details of this literary ghetto that consuming this garbage is a complete fucking waste of time.
Thank you Piers Anthony, that was definitely a "Mission Accomplished" moment.”
