Delightful book, quick read, lovely surprising ending, and deeper, meaningful passages for those who are willing to soul-search.”

Learning how to care for a hundred children, deal with a bothersome yet interesting Scottish doctor and become less self-centered, S. McBride’s letters tell a spectacular story. Her character is extremely well-developed so she is incredibly believable. The whole book (and it’s a little lengthy) is made up of her witty, interesting and sometimes hilarious letters to her friends back in the “real world.” This book is fantastic for adults young and old. Sallie’s stubborn, opinionated personality is the icing on the cake. Great book…see for yourself. ”
