This book was amazing! I really love this series. Yelena is such a wonderful character, and I love how her powers are developing. Of course there's the romance between her and Valek, which is very nice. I cannot wait for Fire Study to come out!

    Good follow-up to Poison Study.

This was a great way to continue Yelena's story and I loved it. I wasn't able to put it down and it was just great. I love her writing and this story. I love the details and the way I can see in my head everything that is happening. It's magical.

I MISSED VALEK SOOOO MUCH. I thought I would die and then my heart skipped a beat when he came back into the story. He is my favorite male character ever! I love how he stayed Valek. Yes, he was a little soft because of Yelena but he was still his tough, Valek-self. He didn't go too soft and mushy and well a wimp.

I was also relieved to see Janco. He is funny and just plain lovable. He is my second favorite male character ever. But more on the book, I loved the suspense. I didn't know what would happen next and I had to keep reading to find out. I can't wait to get my hands on Fire Study.

This book picks up right where the first one left off and it was difficult to put down until I finished it.

Not as good as the first. Still a good read though. I really like the fantasy world this author creates in her writing. It's exciting but not too serious.

This seemed more like an action movie than any other book that I have read. It is so fast-paced that is kept my attention, but I didn't feel a connection with any characters. It held my interest, and I want to keep reading the series, so the book gets 3 stars.

I have an affinity for books you can't put down... I thought the book was exciting and wasy to read. Sure, not necessarily realistic that things always go RIGHT, but it was good and interesting. I can't wait to read the third... Valek and Yelena's relationship? Swoon...

The further adventures of Yelena., and adventures they sure are. This book picks up on Yelena's adventures to find her family and the traps and tricks she falls prey to. Again, the author has not given us a real "good" person to identify with, and again, I was caught up in the story, trying to figure out who I was supposed to be rooting for!

Great story, looking forward to the third.
