Lincoln Rhyme as usual. Lengthy book, and with the twists and turns towards the end it could have been divided into two novels. Still hard to knock this author when it comes to this character series in particular.

I wasn't too sure about Joe Manatagna's voice reading this Deaver novel but it turned out to be just fine. What a twisty turning story. Just when they seem to have figured it out and solved the case, there's a twist and not just one so don't take a deep breath. Of course, its a dead giveaway when you have hundreds of pages left or several CD disks!

I really like the introduction of Kathryn Dance and a new way to investigate through interviewing. She and Rhyme are two sides of "perfect" investigation that, if they could be real and could be cloned would solve all of the world's biggest cases. But hey, its fiction and very entertaining.

I had a little trouble with the time-line that could be very attributible to the fact that I was listening and over a long period of time too. (My commute is just too short.) I also didn't have the visual clue of seeing the date and time at each chapter though I know it was there. It just seemed to me that it was taking Kathryn a long time to get back to California and her family during the holidays. :-) I look forward to reading some Dance novels.

Jeffery Deaver at his best! I'm a Deaver fan but this is one of his better books. Fast paced yet keeps you guessing. I find the Lincoln Rhyme series simply outstanding!

This is a nail-biter of a mystery with twists and turns that leave you breathless, waiting for the next bend. Reading about the way Lincoln Rhyme, Deaver’s quadriplegic forensic criminologist solves cases, with hints and clues posted throughout the book, makes you want to solve the mystery on your own. Besides forensics, Deaver also includes other subjects that make learning through his stories an enjoyable experience.

Lincolm Rhyme and Amanda Sachs investigate the Watchmaker killer.

This is the first book by Jeffery Deaver that I have read. I found the story of the watchmaker very interesting and did not expect all the twists and turns which made for an interesting read. I'm now going to go back and read the beginning of the series.

Another twisty, turny one from Deaver! While still a great read for thriller fans, this one tries to do too much early on. While Lincoln Rhyme works one one case, Sachs has her own that she's working on the side. Deaver also introduces a new character, Kathryn Dance, who he is setting up to be a main character in a series of her own. For a while, it feels like the 3rd entry in a superhero film series - so many storylines going on that none of them really gets going. But then comes Deaver's first twist - a doozy - and things kick into high gear. There are more twists to follow, and in the hands of a lesser author they would have just seemed forced, but Deaver makes it all work. The last hundred pages feel like ten! Fans will devour this book and newcomers will surely seek out more of Rhyme and Sachs.

    This book is awesome!

    ****SPOILER******

The best part is that he didn't get the watchmaker caught in the end.. That would have spoiled everything and made the plot so fake..

I am one of those people who dont like investigative novels but this particular one was different...maybe because I could not PREDICT anything. Or maybe because i loved his other one,..'THE BONE COLLECTOR' ... either way, Jeffrey deaver has definitely mastered the art of suspense and elctrifying twists and turns.....I loved it!
