I had some mixed emotions on the “Naked Duke”. I really liked James, Sarah and all the other crazy characters in this light hearted romance. I loved that the duke with the womanizing reputation was actually just as virginal as his bride. Cousin Richard, the nasty villain of the story, is where I...

I'll admit I picked this one up because it had a virgin hero which is extremely rare in romances. And while I liked MacKenzie's writing style I just did not like the plot at all. It felt to me like there were two different plots happening at the same time one was a light comedy and another a...

I'll admit I picked this one up because it had a virgin hero which is extremely rare in romances. And while I liked MacKenzie's writing style I just did not like the plot at all. It felt to me like there were two different plots happening at the same time one was a light comedy and another a darker story dealing with the villian's obsession that just didn't seem to click together for me. I also had a few issues with the way the villian was characterized.

I had some mixed emotions on the “Naked Duke”. I really liked James, Sarah and all the other crazy characters in this light hearted romance. I loved that the duke with the womanizing reputation was actually just as virginal as his bride. Cousin Richard, the nasty villain of the story, is where I found fault with the book. I didn’t really care for the murder/rape scene of the local tart, Meg or the homosexual activities in the book. Overall it’s a pretty good read and a very nontraditional romance that worth taking a look at.

I absolutely loved this book! It is not to often one finds a historical romance in which the hero is an actual virgin! I really like to see this side of an english lord. after so many rake's and womanizers a woman just wants to see that you can be a "big, strong, handsome, and dangerous" hero without the long trail of torrid affairs.....really great read!
