“If I remember correctly this is a chapter edited out of Alaska.
Very good.”
“The Canadian gold rush, separated by his publisher from his manuscript for Alaska and published separately. I enjoyed Alaska so much until I had to learn the rest of the story.”

Better than an actual journey as one does not actually feel the discomfort of the exteme cold and of course, the mosquitoes while reading it.”

Originally written as part of Alaska and removed at the publisher's suggestion, which was a good call, because even though it is related, it is a totally different story. A more civilized look at the gold rush. Certainly started me on the track that maybe Canada was a nicer country than ours (USA), have to admit that feeling has grown over the years, now if only there was a warm part of Canada:)”
