It was Neil Stephenson's book Cryptonomicon which first introduced me to the subject matter: World War 2, code breaking, spy chasing and such. Would i have devoured this book as quickly had it NOT reminded me of another, better book? Yes. Fast paced, simple stories which are also fun to read and vaguely educational are hard to come by. While not Great, this book was good. Characters a little two dimensional, but hey. If Neil Stephenson is my steak & eggs, then Ken Follett can be my candy bar.
