Very creative. Totally different take than the Tolkien offshoots (like the Shannara series, which I do like). And its got the whole dragonrider concept which is so frickin awesome I love it. The book on the whole was thoughtful and less action-packed than many but for good reason, so, even though I'm an action person, I really liked it. Great book (and series).
