If you can't handle child sexual abuse, rape and incest, avoid this book. The book is also EXTREMELY long, even to listen to in an audio format (18 hours!) Nonetheless, the story has its intriguing moments and captures the mindset of a sexual abuse victim extremely well. I suspect reading it in print would make it really lag, but the audio as read by Joyce Bean makes it very compelling, with her "Nawlins'"drawl and her incredible skill at making male characters actually sound masculine. ...
