“Generally I liked this book, but it seemed a bit of a choppy read. The story took place at the end of Napoleon's rule in England. The story revolves around the conflict between certain factions of the Bonapartes and the Royalist.

I really liked T.F. Bank's earlier book, The Thief-Taker: The Memoirs of a Bow Street Runner and think it was a much better book. I like the major characters in this series very much and hope the next adventure will surpass this second book. ”
