I loved this book! It combined two genres that I love: Regency Historical Fiction and Fantasy! I loved the two cousins and the great friendship that they had (and all of their scrapes -- past and in the novel!

I read this for a reading assignment, and even though I was in a way, forced to read this book, I really liked it. Sort of complicated at times, but a very creative plot.

Excellent book. Very fun read. But DON'T read the sequel--it's HORRIBLE. This book was very charming--the two authors wrote letters back and forth as a character, never discussing where the plot was going. It was so great! The second book, the Grand Tour, has a weak plot, and as the characters are together, all the writing is in journal form. It just doesn't have the same charm.

Not a quick read but very fun - a good Victorian style mystery.

A delicious correspondence between two genteel ladies of the Regency about love life and magic.
