Yes | No“great book that speaks to why individuals must step out of their comfort zone if they want to achieve their desired goals. Every thing in life has some level of fear/anxiety or nervousness involved otherwise you are just doing the same old thing. The only way to get through the fear is to "do the thing" you are afraid of which will increase your self-confidence and move you to the "power" end of the spectrum. Dr. Jeffers notes that individuals are either dealing with the "pain" of not addressing their fears or they are working their way to "power" over their fears. Always speak/think in terms of the "choices" you have made. Never use the term "I should have" as it allows for internal negative chatter to hamper a positive attitude. Rather "I chose not to".”

In some ways, a typical self help book -- often filled with 'common sense' that you just need someone else to write down or say out loud, and sometimes a bit wordy. (You know what I mean. How many times have you read a book and thought to yourself, "Man, (s)he could have written that in about half as many words and saved me some serious time.")
I like the book though, and will probably want to keep it on the bookshelf to go back to every now and then. Here are some of the things that I'd like to keep tucked away to refer back to later:
1) Feel the fear and do it anyway. Whatever happens to me, given any situation, I can handle it. Don't spend your life worrying about things that may never happen, and don't cheat yourself out of experiences by being afraid to take the first step.
2) Fear will always exist as long as you continue to grow. If you find that you're not 'fearful' most of the time, you're living in your comfort zone. You really cannot grow as a person and experience all that life has to offer when you live in comfort all of the time.
3) Positive thinking is filled with power. As a result of positive thinking, many opportunities come your way naturally. Surround yourself with positive people who affirm positive thought.
4) Take responsibility. Take responsibility for everything in your life.
5) Instead of looking at decisions as no-win or win-lose, treat every potentiality as win-win. Face it, no matter which way you go, there will always be something that you can learn and grow from. Doing nothing means you've given into the fear and you will miss out on the learning experience.
5a) Once you've made a decision, throw away your expectations. (See Stumbling on Happiness. Our mind has probably built up a future that isn't realistic anyway.)
6) Lighten up. It doesn't really matter.
7) The Law of Attraction.
7a) Become what you want to attract.
7b) Know and think about what you want to attract.
8) Patience. Rome wasn't built in a day, and a watched pot never boils.
There, you just read the book. It didn't knock my socks off, but it was filled with some solid advice.
