“It was okay. Story was a bit predictable. I really like the world of the Immortals.”

I'm not a regular fiction reader but I throughly enjoyed this book. Out of the whole series, I think that this was the most unattached Incarnation. The fact that everyone was so closely related in the other books was a little much for me. Plus the devil isn't really evil in this book.”

After his wife is slayed by crusaders Perry is forced to leave his home and joins a group of priests as a healer. As he was apprenticed to a sorceror he uses his magic to work wonders across ancient europe. But Fate is not on his side, as Satan has become displeased with the good Perry is doing because it causes less and less souls to float down to him. So the Fater of Lies sends his minion to corrupt Perry. When she is fails to bend his will to her master Satan himself comes to destroy Perry. But with a well used spell and help from his wife's ghost the demon's spell rebounds and he is destroyed. Having killed the former master of Hell the former man of god is now charged with rulling Hell under the name of Lucifer!
The rest of the book is about Perry exploits throught history all the way to the distant future.

“For Love of Evil is the sixth installment of Incarnation of Immortality series. It's definitely not one of the better ones. It deals with the Incarnation of Evil starting from when he was a mortal man named Parry. When Parry becomes the new master of Hell, he finds his true calling as Satan. The novel is a little repetitious as it goes over some of the same events that happened in the earlier novels. We do get a different perspective at least, that of Satan. And the Satan in For Love of Evil is a pretty likable guy. This book has romance (lots of it), adventure, action and loads of craziness. Overall though I'd have to say it was pretty boring. Hopefully the next book in the series will be a little more interesting.”

For the first time, things really start to come together completely for the first five books. I never thought that I could feel so much for a character that is commmonly thought of as evil. It was amazing!”
