His use of language, trying to use the vernacular of the period, reduced my enjoyment of the story. I wasn't thrilled by the novel, but did enjoy it. ”

However, most of his stories spawn series (yuk!) Imagine my delight in finding a standalone book featuring one of my favorite authors, a Mr. William Shakespeare. The title of this book, "Ruled Britannia" has the Bard living in an England suffering under Spanish rule. And guess who gets to play the role of Luke Skywalker? Yep! (OK, he's more like Thomas Jefferson, or Thomas Paine, writing things to stir the pot of rebellion, but you get the point.) ”
