• Henry is an aged and sick king with no son to call his heir.king. He has to take a new wife if he isto ever have a son.produce heirs and make alliances. Finding her way to the kings heartking's heart, Anne of Cleves becomes the wife of the King and more importantly the Queen of England. Anne will have to play her cards well if she is to stay in the Kings favor. In a country where the language is foreign and habits are strangestrange, she is out of her depth. Realising a trap is closing in around her Anne must do all she can to stay alive. Her maid in waiting Katherine Howard is ordered by her ambitious family to do all she can to over throw Anne and become Queen. She is haunted by what has happened to the last women to have tried to make the king their own. Her advisor Jane Boleyn knows that their plan is failing and there will be betrayal, suspicion and death.
